Ratings are still down with Live 365 issues and increased ways to listen to music. As far as new music though it's been the strongest early year I've heard since I started broadcasting in 2008. Bluegrass is hot with Western Swing hanging in behind. Also a few great albums from elder legends including Emmy Lou Harris/Rodney Crowell, Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson.
While it's tough to fill the shoe's of George Jones, let us also remember Patti Page, Jack Greene and Gordon Stoker.
Travel highlights were the 3rd Don Walser reunion show, the evening with Miss Leslie and Joe and a long night at the Station Inn with Flatt Lonesome and Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers.
Keep in touch and lets keep my definition of country on the air.
